Lucid Duo

In recent years, they have lectured at prestigious music institutions such as the University of Arts and Sciences in Chiapas, Mexico, the Osaka Conservatory of Music, Osaka Sagai University, Toho University School of Music, and the Tokyo National University of Music in Japan. They have also taught at the International Marimba Academy throughout Europe. In addition, they have been invited to serve as guest adjudicators for the 2019 Japan Percussion Association Competition in Saitama, Japan. Founded in 2011, the Lucid Duo graduated from Europe's first Master's Degree Program in Marimba at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Antwerp, and have been dedicated to the advancement of the instrument. Thomas is a renowned composer on the international marimba and percussion scene and a member of the duo, whose compositions exemplify the versatility and breadth of the marimba instrument and are an integral part of the duo's diverse repertoire, which includes marimba duets, concertos and electronic works.

In 2016, the Lucid Duo was awarded the Start-Stipendium by the Austrian Federal Chancellery for outstanding artists and completed their professional studies with the legendary Keiko Abe at the Toho University School of Music in Tokyo, Japan. The Vienna-based duo is both a Yamaha artist and a member of the American company Innovative Percussion Artists, Inc.
