Tianxu An, the first Chinese pianist in 18 years to win a prize at the prestigious International Tchaikovsky Competition – Piano, will embark on a month long 18-city major recital tour starting from June 18th, with performances in Shenyang, Changsha, Xiamen, Shanghai, Chongqing and Zhuhai etc.
He will perform two programmes, including works by Scarlatti, Beethoven, Rachmaninoff, Debussy, Liszt, Chopin, Prokofiev and Brahms.
In addition, he will perform Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue with the National Centre for the Performing Arts Orchestra from May 30th to June 1st for special project with film, featuring Disney’s Fantasia.
