Yihua Li in Recital
Concerts took place at Nanjing, Changsha, Fuzhou, Hefei, Zhengzhou, Shenyang, Kunming and Qingdao from 8th May to 10th October, 2020.
As a young organist, LI Yihua obtained a double master’s degree in pipe organ and harpsichord from Hochschule für Musik Freiburg. In 2016, again with honors, she was conferred the highest diploma in organ playing and as an organ chamber music performer from StaatLIche Hochschule fuer Musik und Darstellende Kunst Stuttgart. She was taught by professor Ludger Lohmann, a top organist and educator.
During her study in Europe, LI Yihua has received multiple awards for organ competitions, such as the first prize of the International Organ Competition of the “Lodz” Jan Kucharski in Poland. She gave organ solo and chamber music concerts in many famous concert halls and churches in Germany, Austria and Poland. German famous critic and organist Kay Johannsen and senior music critic Chow Fanfu from Hong Kong gave very high marks for her playing.
After returning to China, LI Yihua has been committed to the promotion and popularization of organ art, for she has always attached great importance to culture and basic education. She has cooperated with a number of well-known musicians, such as the Brass Quintet of Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra and Mannheimer Blech from Germany, and has been touring in Beijing, Shanghai, wuhan and other places. For many times, LI Yihua has cooperated with Shanghai Symphony Orchestra and Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra in presenting “Saint-Saens: The Organ Symphony”. Jointly with Qingdao Symphony Orchestra, she delivered a special concert “Solemn Organ” under the conductorship of Mr. ZHANG Guoyong, a famous conductor.
LI Yihua also learned piano and electone since her childhood. Her students have won many awards and prizes in international and national competitions.
