From May 12-22, the world-renowned violin virtuoso Pinchas Zukerman and pianist Shai Wosner brought seven exciting concerts to Chinese music fans across China’s north and south, with a repertoire that included many of Beethoven’s sonatas, as well as Schubert, Brahms and other famous works, which caused a very strong reaction around the world, and was even referred to by some fans as the “May is ‘Zuckerman Time'”.
At 14:00 on May 12, Maestro Zuckerman and Wosner attended a press conference at the NCPA to share their experiences in recent years, and on May 14, the concert and fan meeting concluded at the Art Center in Hebei Province, and on May 16, the artists appeared on stage at the Shanghai Oriental Arts Center, where they reproduced three of Beethoven’s classic violin sonatas in a stunning performance of their own.
On the evening of May 19th, the Xi’an Concert Hall was glittering as Maestro Zukerman presented a number of works by Schubert, Brahms and Beethoven, and held a book signing in the North Promenade after the performance. On May 22nd, Maestro Zuckerman and Pianist Wosner’s 2024 tour of China came to an end at the Jiangsu Centre for the Performing Arts.
